 Our Topic this Summer term 2017 is




 We will be looking at the invasion of Britain after the

Romans. The Anglo Saxons and Vikings.



 We will be working on a number of different  genres (poetry, fiction

and non- fiction.) Alongside this we will also be working on

 developing the children’s general writing and reading skills, whilst

 focusing on developing their awareness of grammatical

 conventions. We will be presenting our manifestos about 

improvements to TMS, to Cornwall Planning.

REMEMBER: Reading regularly at home is very





 Our science topics will be ‘Evolution’ &

‘Respiratory system

Towards the end of the term we will also be covering our SRE and

 Drugs unit. 


Our DT project this term, is making cars for Richard Lander transitions day.




 We will finally make our new Apps we have designed and then market them to be used by other children.



We will be making some clay brooches inspired by Vikings. We will also use watercolours to create pictures of seascapes.




We will learn our songs from our productions, and then use Viking songs to learn about pitch, and playing percussion from written notation.


 We will be exploring Cornwall’s unique spirituality and also focusing on the introduction of Methodism to the county.




 Our outdoor PE will focus on the development of ball skills, tennis and athletics


 We will be continuing with our language teaching and are hoping to make use f some exciting new resources.
