Key Stage 1
Our KS1 classes are Bedruthan (Y1), Jacobstowe (Y1), Blisland (Y2) and Veryan (Y2).
We regularly have the chance to play and learn together in KS1. We have assemblies on Mondays, Singing Practice on Thursdays and every day for phonics.
We use our Building Learning Power friends to help us learn.

Here is some information for parents about how we teach phonics at Threemilestone School.
We have daily phonics sessions in school and also teach reading skills in Guided Reading. Children are expected to practise their phonic sounds and reading at home regularly. This really does make a difference to the children's progress. We also send home spellings each week support their phonics learning.
These are our writing superheros who help the children with their Literacy work. You can read more about how to help with writing at home here.
Number Square (useful for all sorts of games and counting!)
Maths cards (we use these in class to help children learn the basic number facts off by heart)
Children in Y1 are expected to know their number bonds to 10 off by heart, extending to 20 and multiples of 10 to 100 in Year 2.
Children should know their 2x, 5x and 10x tables by the end of Y2.
We appreciate all the help that parents give their children at home to help them learn these facts.
